Energy funneling in a bent chain of Morse oscillators with long-range coupling.
A bent chain of coupled Morse oscillators with long-range dispersive interaction is considered. Moving localized excitations may be trapped in the bending region. Thus chain geometry acts like an impurity. An energy funneling effect is observed in the case of random initial conditions.

We consider a chain of nonlinear oscillators with long-range interaction of the type 1l(1+alpha), where l is a distance between oscillators and 0<alpha<2. In the continuous limit, the system's dynamics is described by a fractional generalization of the Ginzburg-Landau equation with complex coefficients. Such a system has a new parameter alpha that is responsible for the complexity of the medium...
متن کاملMutual synchronization of spin torque nano-oscillators through a long-range and tunable electrical coupling scheme
The concept of spin-torque-driven high-frequency magnetization dynamics, allows the potential construction of complex networks of non-linear dynamical nanoscale systems, combining the field of spintronics and the study of non-linear systems. In the few previous demonstrations of synchronization of several spin-torque oscillators, the short-range nature of the magnetic coupling that was used has...
متن کاملA New Modification of Morse Potential Energy Function
Interaction of meso — tetrakis (p-sulphonato phenyl) porphyrin (hereafter abbreviated to TSPP)with Na+ has been examined using HF level of theory with 6-31G* basis set. Counterpoise (CP)correction has been used to show the extent of the basis set superposition error (BSSE) on thepotential energy curves. The numbers of Na+ have a significant effect on the calculated potentialenergy curve (includ...
متن کاملSynchronization of oscillators with long-range power law interactions.
We present analytical calculations and numerical simulations for the synchronization of oscillators interacting via a long-range power law interaction on a one-dimensional lattice. We have identified the critical value of the power law exponent α(c) across which a transition from a synchronized to an unsynchronized state takes place for a sufficiently strong but finite coupling strength in the ...
